A Note To You

I started Poisemetics in 2020 for a pretty simple reason: I wanted to feel better about my skin — and look better too. 

Acne, scars, hyperpigmentation… all of it ate at my confidence a little, not gonna lie. I tried everything. High-end skincare, drugstore products, dollar-store finds — I even made my own potions and concoctions hoping something would finally give me the results I was looking for.

Most of it didn't.

So after school, I started doing my own research. And then more research. What started as wanting better skin turned into a real interest in cosmetic chemistry, formulation, ingredients, and how skincare actually works. I spent time learning about formulas, testing pH levels in the lab, and understanding why certain ingredients belong in a product in the first place.

That's when Poisemetics became more than an idea.

As I've gotten older, I've also realized something I wish I understood sooner: having acne, scars, or hyperpigmentation isn't the end of the world. Your skin is going to change as you go through life. That's part of the beauty of it.

Taking care of your skin doesn't have to come from hating what's in the mirror.

For me, it's about embracing your skin while still giving it the care it deserves.
